David Potts (Set Designer)

David Potts has designed the Broadway productions of Born Yesterday with Ed Asner and Madeline Kahn, As Is, The Musical Comedy Murders of 1940, and the national tours of Sleuth with Stacy Keach, and I Never Sang for My Father with Daniel J. Travanti. His many off-Broadway credits include the acclaimed productions of The Seahorse and The Boys Next Door, Album with Kevin Bacon, Goodnight, Grandpa with Milton Berle, and numerous productions for Circle Repertory Theatre, The Manhattan Theatre Club, and Playwright’s Horizon. He has designed extensively for regional theatres across the country; the television movies Kennedy’s Children and Fifth of July; and, on ice, the world tour of 100 years of Disney Magic. Recently, he was the art director of the HBO series Deadwood, for which he received an Emmy award, and he currently art directs the new HBO series, John from Cincinnati.
